Each week I'll pick 3 players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver that I feel are either undervalued in weekly rankings or have huge upside that you don't want to miss out on.
Philip Rivers - The Jets have given up the 4th most points to the QB this season. Goddamn Donald Brown is getting the start in the backfield for the Bolts this week and his yards per carry is measured by good intentions. The bolo tie wearing maniac will light up the Jets in a most satisfying manner.
Austin Davis - Who? Exactly. He will be forced to play catch up against a Philadelphia offense that will be clicking again this weekend. Eagles give up the 2nd most points to the QB and Davis has a chance to introduce himself this weekend to the rest of the world.
Nick Foles - The leader of the previously aforementioned quick strike Eagle offense. Being back home should help him out this weekend as will playing against a St. Louis secondary that is unexceptional.
Andre Ellington - Ellington is a huge upside play this weekend. He should be able to get it done on the ground and in the pass game. Look for him to be utilized heavily against the Broncos in the best game of the weekend.
Antone Smith - This is a ballsy play. He will touch the ball less than 5 times, but he will get 50 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Chris Ivory - The Chargers are giving up the 6th most points to running backs, and Chris Ivory is the Chris to start for the Jets. He runs hard and is trusted by the coaching staff.
John Brown - This is another upside play like Antone Smith. You could get zero pretty easily, but I think he finds the end zone this weekend.
DeAndre Hopkins - Has quietly outplayed his running mate Andre Johnson. Look for him to do it again this weekend while the Texans upset the Cowboys.
Brandin Cooks - Tied for 29th in the league in targets as a rookie through 4 weeks. Brees owns the Bucs, and Cooks is in for a big weekend.
